Would being smaller or larger help conserve more heat in an ice age?

I'm doing this biology project in which we evolve an animal (lion in my case) and tell what it would be like in 5 million years. The climate in 5 million years according to this is an ice age. Would it be more helpful to be larger or smaller as far as conserving body heat is concerned?
