My mom won't let me go on "car dates"?

So i lied to my mom once and she found out, it wasnt even that big of a deal it was just something stupid i did on the spot, i couldnt regret it more cause i never do that, and she knows that. But now she doesnt trust me like at all. I'm a sophmore & this guy i really like is a senior. My mom wont let him drive me anywhere unless other people are with us. This guy has been putting up with parents driving us n stuff and he's gonna put up he says its ok cause i cant do anything about it and he's different so i know he doesnt wanna drive me and have stuff happen cause its really just not lke that at all. But its just soo much of a hle having to try to find so many different rides when he could simply pick me up & i hate it i feel like a little kid. His mom even tried talking to my mom. I dont even know what i can do to change this, im gonna try sitting and talking to her but i doubt itll do anthing, its "her rules". Any suggestions or ideas??? :(
