Willie McGee is perhaps the closest to a Hall of Famer without being one I can think of. He sure was good and he had a long career. If he made it in, I wouldn't mind. But he is probably a little shy of being voted in. As for the Hall being crowded, that's a laughable argument. In the next one hundred years one could ume there will be double the number of people in the hall. What are you going to do? Throw some people out? If there is a Hall 300 years from now it will be huge. That is not a reason to demand higher credentials.
