Why don't more Americans care about civilian casualties in the so-called "wars" in Iraq and Afghanistan?

This is probably due to the fact that America has approximately 80 cides (Terrorist attacks) every day of the year to worry about -which is far more than Iraq or Afghanistan has overall!
